001. All characters should be under one account. You cannot create more than one account for different characters.
002. We're a semi-literate site, which means we like for our players to at least do a spellcheck in their posts. We don't ask that you have perfect spelling (the site owner understands some off days, and being foreign to English.) and for you to have flawless grammar. There are plenty of tools that we have listed for use in our 'HELPFUL TOOLS' guide. We also ask that no chatspeak be used outside of the chatbox, and even a minimum use there!
003. In Character swearing is fine, just as long as the whole post and thread isn't pumped full of profanity. OOC swearing is to be kept to a very tiny minimum. We don't want to scare off any new members!
004. Please, treat everyone with respect. There may be new members trying to get into the swing of things or just some confusion. Try to be respectful to staff, we try hard to make your experience the best. We don't mean any harm when we give you warnings (and we try to make our staff be gentle in their warnings.)
005. We require a post count of three posts every two weeks. We understand lengthy absences, so if you need to leave for a while, please post it in the 'HIATUS' board that you will be gone, and a roughly estimated time. The creator was a student once, so she understands not logging in for exams, tests, etc. We will freeze your account and place it on a list to not delete until you return. Any unknown absences will be marked as AWOL after two weeks and four days of inactivity. A month of being absent will have your account deleted so that someone else may take the name if they wish. We will not delete your characters, or their bios. They will go in an archive just in case you return. However, your characters must be accepted. Unaccepted or unapproved characters will not be saved. All players that are in danger of deletion are given a PM.
006. The only posts that count for activity are ones in HIATUS, and in one of the In Character boards.
001. Avatars are welcomed any size, as the coding resizes them to fit.
002. Signatures may only include a total of two pictures, with one only being a GIF. About 200px height and 300 px in length. Nothing larger.
003. Any images that are from artists, or obviously drawn/painted must be credited with the artist. You must also have the artist's permission. Art theft is very serious to us. (Laur cringes at bad memories here.)
001. Every player on Between Two Realms are allowed six characters. To enforce diversity here, we press on players to have a maximum of four wolves, and one fox or coyote. Two coyotes or two foxes is allowed also.
002. Other than the obvious plot characters that may be played around here, your characters cannot associate with only your characters. Mates cannot be played by the same account. Players are allowed one pup from one of their litters. Others must be adopted out or just not played, sorry!
003. NPCs (None playable characters) cannot be controlled outside of our bot. The admins control this bot, and if you need it just PM one of us!
004. Only accepted characters can start posting in the In Character sections. Any posts with unaccepted characters will be deleted otherwise. If this keeps happening, we will give you a warning just in case you forget about this rule. Continuing doing this will result in taking posting previledges away from you. Nagging us about accepting characters will not help your character get accepted any faster.
005. If you want to post your application, but still want to work on it, just put [WIP] in the title.
006. In addition to the previous rule, we ask that there aren't wolves with fancy names like Whispers of Night. Simple names are welcomed. We provided sources to look for names in our 'HELPFUL TOOLS' guide.
007. Please, please, please look at the bans list before creating a character. We can't stress enough that if a species or type is banned for the time, then it cannot be created anymore!
008. Make sure to look at all the information for packs and such before you just make your character join one. You may want to change your mind later on, and you'll have to roleplay it out with the alphas. It's very frustrating when a wolf or coyote joins a pack or tribe and then wants to leave the next day!
009. Joining in the lore is perfectly accepted! However, anything written in the records is set in stone. Your character cannot alter history!
010. The minimum for word count is 200 words even. No exceptions, except for death posts.
011. Liquid time is in effect here. However, you can only be in four other places at once with one character, and only skip up to two days.
012. Mark your threads accordingly! [M] for mature,
for private, [O] for open, [C] for threads that finally have enough characters and are not closed. This helps player know if they can join or not, and what to expect.
013. Mark your threads with [FINISHED] to let us know they're done with. If you character has left the thread, then make sure you mark it with "[Character] has left this area." or something that lets people know your character has left. Once they have left, you CANNOT return to the thread with the same character again unless an event in the thread has happened where they can.
014. We ask that pack members stay in their territory unless an event or something in the plot allows them to leave. They can visit neighboring territories, but nothing more than that. Wolves who are spiritual can leave to Pandora's Keep every week to worship at the alter.
015. Loners and foxes can travel where they like, but please make it possible In Character for them to get from one place to the other. Each territory is a range of 14-20 miles a part.
016. Absolutely no power playing. You cannot make every hit, nor dodge every attack. If you feel you need a judge for the fights, PM an admin!
017. Stay in tune with the seasons, please! It's a part of our plots.
018. We use third person here. No first person roleplaying allowed outside of thoughts and dialogue.
019. The breeding and birthing seasons begin differently for species. Look in our character guide so you're informed!
020. Breeding and birthing is asked to fade to black, or just skip the event's playout. We don't ask players to roleplay everything out here!
021. Mates must court for two seasons before breeding. Birthing must be in season.
022. Send the information for litters at the start or end of the breeding season to the admins. The litters will be rolled and we will send back the information to you. Each parent may keep one pup if they have a character slot open. Any other pups must be placed in the adoptions if you want them played.
001. No advertising in the chat. We have a board for site ADs and plot ADs. Do not ask players repeatedly to reply to threads or join them. PMs are blessing for that!
002. Be polite! You will be suspended for abusing chat privileges for three days, this id your only warning.
003. Don't impersonate someone, especially an admin. You will be banned immediately. Only warning.
004. Keep your arugments out of the chat! If you have a problem, PM an admin. We will get it taken care of, trust us.
005. Ranting isn't allowed, but feel free to unload in PMs. Laur is always open to hear your rants. She may even try some (okay-ish) advice!
006. Personal things should be kept out of chats. Once again, PMs are a blessing! We ask that you don't share anything about yourself along the lines of information like names or where you live. For your safety! We all use fake names here.
007. No negative banter towards other players. PM a staff if you have a problem. You can be suspended for a week for this if you do not follow this rule. We keep a close eye.
008. No sharing anything along the lines of mature content in the chat. Suspension for a week may happen otherwise.
